As for “Blood And Gold”, it is the story of Marius, one of the oldest vampires that has been around since the early days of Rome and was the creator of the vampires Pandora, Armand and Bianca. As well he was also the keeper of Enkil and Akasha, the King and Queen of Vampires.
If you are an Anne Rice fan, you should have already gotten a brief glimpse of Marius’ life in “The Vampire Lestat” (which is the second book in the Vampire Chronicles series).
“Blood and Gold” goes deeper into Marius’ past and introduces you to other vampires, such as Bianca, Euxodia, and Avicus.
“Blood and Gold” was an irresistable read that you will thoroughly enjoy. You should not hesitate to pick up “Blood and Gold”. And who knows, it might even rank as one of your all time favorite books (within the Vampire Chronicles).
